Our French Retreat venue is an exceptionally beautiful & elegant Chateau situated in a superb location in the Charente close to the border of the Dordogne. This area is famous for its gentle warm climate, Romanesque architecture, magnificent chateaux’s and open countryside surrounded by vineyards and sunflower fields.
All rooms are ensuite and classically furnished with individual style, you can choose from 6 ensuite bedrooms or a shared bathroom, single or twin rooms are available
In the afternoons you can make full use of the beautiful pool or perhaps just relax in the total peace and tranquility of the beautiful gardens sit and read a book in the shade.

Getting there: The best journey option to get to us in France is by air. Please note that travel to the French retreat is not included.
Flights to Bordeaux Airport are reasonable and available from a variety of UK airports and can easily be booked through budget airlines such as EasyJet or you can search for flights on www.skyscanner.net
Or perhaps you would prefer to let the train take the strain and travel down through the French countryside by TGV You can take the train from St Pancreas International to Angouleme, its about a 7 hour trip.
A scheduled transfer to and from Bordeaux airport is included in the cost of your retreat- please speak to us before you book your flight so we can advise you of collections times. We have a 5pm check in time at the venue so we aim to collect people at 16.00 from the airport on arrival day, so booking a flight that lands before 15.30 is advisable. Check out on departure day is 9.00am. Return flights should be booked from 13.00.
If you book a flight outside of our suggested times unfortunately you will have to arrange a taxi transfer and cover the additional cost which could be from 250 euros, if you choose to get the trains to and from Angouleme you will have to cover the taxi cost, there are taxi outside the station at Angouleme its about 35 mins taxi ride and costs from 100 euros.
